In this article we're are going to discuss the 5 major warning signs that you should look out for, if you are worried that you or a family member, may be affected by a peanut allergy.
If after eating peanuts, (or a product that my contain peanut trace) you start to develop any of the following symptoms, please consult your doctor.
Warning Sign Number 1
The Skin - A red bumpy rash on the skin starts to develop, otherwise known as hives. This will tend to look like flea bites.
Warning Sign Number 2
The Nose - You start to develop a runny or a congested nose for no reason, immediately after eating.
Warning Sign Number 3
The Stomach - Abdominal pains, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea are all warning signs.
Warning Sign Number 4
The Mouth - Severe red swelling starts to develop around the mouth.
Warning Sign Number 5
The Entire Body - In extreme cases, the body can go into shock, as its blood pressure level drops quite suddenly, and blood is unable to pump around the body.
Remember, simply because you have a reaction, does not mean that you have reacted adversely to peanuts. Always remember to consult your doctor, who will likely do a series of skin reaction tests to see if you are allergic to peanuts.
