Ever wonder why the hell you feel the way you do after a severe tragedy? You feel confused, dazed, sleepless and lifeless yet you feel you have no idea what’s going on…. Well it just could be after you have experienced a loss or a huge painful event….that it’s post-traumatic stress….Now the question is what do I do about it? This subject I am very familiar with since my son was tragically burned with 3rd degree burns….
What is the process for letting go and healing your life to go forward? The first thing that I most highly recommend is journaling….writing down your every thought and emotion….don’t worry about what you will say – there is no right and wrong – no one is going to read it but you! It is important to get to the core of your heart to release the pain you have carried around with you for so long…. Second, make sure you create a safe environment for your soul…..light a candle…..have aroma therapy…..you can find this at your nearest health food store…...make sure you choose one that smells good for you…..this means it’s the right one for your emotions……Third, take three big breaths from your lower belly…..Big breaths…..and as you exhale allow your body to gently unfold as if you were floating on your back in a swimming pool…..complete rest……relaxation…..letting go.
It’s so important to allow yourself to feel the pain in order to release it……of course we avoid this because it is very uncomfortable…..but unless we get the pebble out of our shoe…..it will annoy us for the rest of our lives…..you are a very special person……remember to follow these steps for at least 30 days.
Now write …write with heart, tears, whatever you feel at that moment…say an affirmation to yourself that supports you…I’m safe, I’m ok…everything is going to be ok…as you release you will experience peace and feeling lighter.
